Step 2: Travel to the future and draw/write your postcard home

Download our postcard template or make your own using an A5 piece of paper. You can write you rpostcard by hand or digitally using your choice of software.

On one side of the postcard, draw something that represents the kind of future you want to see. Let your imagination run wild. Use different colours, unlock your inner child and doodle to your heart’s content!

On the other side of the postcard, write a short postcard to your chosen changemaker. Write:

  • What the future could look like if we take action today
  • What does your local area look and feel like in your chosen future?
  • What do you want your chosen changemaker to do to take action towards a better future?

Why not get a group of friends or family together to amplify your message even further?

Download our resource pack for groups and host your own “postcard party”.

Step 3: Send and share your postcard

First, take a photo of your completed postcard and submit it to our gallery before adding any personal details.

Upload your postcard to our postcard gallery. The more locations and postcards are added, the stronger the call for change to build a better future for all.

Add a stamp then write the address of your chosen changemaker (or pop the postcard in an envelope if you prefer).

If writing to your local Member of Parliament or a local Councillor, don’t forget to include your home postcode to prove you are a constituent.

Upload your postcard to social media with the hashtag #postcardsforprogress to join the national and international call for change!
